About Cross Culture

A beacon of hope, committed to transform.

Started by Binu and Deena Thampy in 2007 with a single classroom for children who weren't in school, Cross Culture is now a city-wide network of Educare centres, Freedom Centers, free medical care camps, and football grounds — all rooted in one belief: that every person, regardless of background, possesses inherent potential that, when nurtured, can change a community.

The starting line every child deserves.

Most of these children have never been to school. Inside Educare, they learn the alphabet, multiply for the first time, talk about washing hands and brushing teeth, and meet a doctor every few weeks — until they are ready to take their place in a mainstream classroom.
